Press Release
It is with great enthusiasm and anticipation that I announce my candidacy
for State Representative in the Twenty-Ninth Middlesex District. Our community
has been well served in this capacity for many years by Rachel Kaprielian, and I wish her the best of success in her new endeavors.
This represents a unique opportunity and a significant challenge for me
and I intend to meet it with the same determination and commitment I have brought to our local government. It is an honor serving Watertown as a Councilor-at-Large at present and over the past two terms and I look
forward to building on that experience by representing our community at the state level.
As a life-long resident of the area, who is married, has three young children,
owns a small business, and is active in many community and civic affairs, I feel that I am uniquely qualified to advocate
for Watertown and Cambridge. I feel that my well-reasoned, moderate voice on
a broad range of social and economic issues is the voice that can best represent our citizens and their values. My ability to work for and with all constituencies has earned me both the respect and support of a majority
of the electorate, across the political spectrum.
This decision was made after much thought and with the encouragement of
family, friends and constituents.
I look forward to working very hard over the coming months to spread the
word about my candidacy and to listen to all of your needs and demands from state government.
I have no doubt that it will be a very competitive race and I wish the best of luck to any and all who choose to join
the competition.
